He was born January 7, 1933 at Miami, WV a son of the late James A. and Anna Ennis Stewart.

He was retired from the coal mines, where he had worked as a mechanic. Jack loved the outdoors, hunting and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Spangler Stewart; brothers, James A. Stewart, II, and Bob Stewart; sisters, Kathryn Buck, Anna Lee Houck, and Dorma Jean Bright.

He is survived by his son, Tim Stewart and wife Shelley of Barboursville WV; brothers, Ronald Stewart of Palestine, and Gary Stewart of Charleston WV; sisters, Audrey Smith and Patty Keeney both of Charleston. Jack also leaves behind two grandchildren, Jackson and Brody Stewart, and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will take place Monday, February 15, from 11 a.m.-noon at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Entombment will follow at the Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV.
