While snowstorm Jonas is fading into memory with 18-21" snowfall on Calhoun, one should reflect on the Great Blizzard of 1950.

That snow, which began Thanksgiving evening, dumped 36" of snow on the county, and with high winds the snow in places drifted 12 feet.

Jonas dumped 42" of snow on Glengary WV.
