MAN DEAD IN ROBBERY - One man is dead in Greenbrier County after an apparent robbery attempt. Greenbrier County Deputies say they were called to an apartment at Circle J Square in Fairlea around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. There they found Clayton Ware, 33, of Fairlea dead in his apartment of a gunshot wound.

Investigators say they spoke to Travis Norwood, 29, of Fairlea who claimed he was the victim of an alleged robbery attempt by Ware.
