UPDATE: RUSSETT RD. MAN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGED BRUTAL ASSAULT ON WOMAN

(01/16/2016)
State Police arrested a Russett Road man early Friday morning following a domestic dispute at 1 a.m.

Lennie Earl Hartshorn III, 30, is in Central Regional Jail, charged with the alleged domestic battery and domestic assault of his significant other Sharon Sabin.

Trooper B. K. Shingleton said officers spoke to the victim after she fled the residence, crying, covered in fresh bloody scratches and bruising on multiple parts of the body.

According to the complaint, the victim told officers that she and Hartshorn got into an argument, saying Hartshorn was "high and drunk," and grabbed her by the throat and slammed her to the ground, "hitting her head off the floor multiple times."

The complaint says Hartshorn held a gun to her head, threatening to kill her, saying "This is going to be a suicide or homicide bitch."

Hartshorn advised the victim he was going to kill himself by hanging in an outbuilding.

Police found the residence in disarray.

Hartshorn told police, in the complaint, that he did get physical with the victim.

He is being held on $5,000 cash only bond.

Jeremy Matthew Pierson, 37, of Clay has been incarcerated in Central Regional Jail and charged with battery and destruction of property.

Central Regional Jail is reporting that Calhoun resident Justin Ross Whited, 34, has been incarcerated for violation of home confinement.
