Aunt Verda Bush is selling the last of Pete's Christmas trees this year. Pete, known to the community as a teacher, principal
and molasses maker, died earlier this year.
About 120 trees remain on the hill by the house
on Millstone. Folks started stopping by to mark their trees last week, and a few have been sold in the past few days.
There's taller ones, and shorter ones. Slim ones and heftier ones. Several trees have been cut and placed in the yard in
front of the house, although some folks prefer to go on the hill and cut their own. There's a couple of bow saws on the
porch.
