2015: 700 DRUG OVERDOES IN CABELL COUNTY, 70 FATAL

Deadly drug overdoses made headlines throughout 2015 in Huntington and Cabell County. The final numbers are alarming. There were more than 900 overdoses in Cabell County, according to the city of Huntington's Office of Drug Control Policy. Of those overdoses, 70 proved fatal. Last spring, it was estimated there would be nearly 700 overdoses. As the year progressed, that estimate continued to grow.
