| Roane County 911 dispatchers said fire crews on the scene have confirmed that Interstate 79 near Amma was reopened at 4:50 p.m. Christmas Day in both directions following a mudslide.
Both northbound lanes were closed by the rock slide about 2:3O p.m.
About the same time, the I-79 southbound lane was closed due to a tractor trailer fire.
The Newton VFD responded to the incidents.
