SLAIN CLAY STATE TROOPER'S SON MADE HONORARY BRIGADIER GENERAL

(12/21/2015)

Wyatt Bailey's Christmas wish this year was to be in the West Virginia Army National Guard.

Wyatt's dad, West Virginia State Trooper Cpl. Marshall Lee Bailey, was shot and killed in Clay County in August 2012.

The West Virginia National Guard decided to make Wyatt the Adjutant General for the day. Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin made Wyatt and his 9-year-old sister Lauryn honorary brigadier generals.

Wyatt and his family had the opportunity to ride in military vehicles and explored the Joint Operation Center.
