Virginia Mae Butler Parsons, 88 - Parkersburg

Virginia Mae Butler Parsons, 88, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Dec. 17, 2015, at Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born October 22, 1927 in Calhoun County, W.Va., daughter of the late Roy and Martha Lowers Butler.

She was a homemaker and had also worked at Yonker's Manufacuring. She was a member of T.O.P.S. and enjoyed gardening and yard work. She was a member of 10th Ave. Church of God.

She is survived by three sons, Greg Parsons (Donna), Terry Parsons (Denise) and Clair Parsons, Jr. (Darlene) all of Parkersburg; two daughters, Linda Allen (Dennis) of Washington, W.Va. and Sandra Lynn Parsons of Parkersburg; two sisters, Stella Hall of Parkersburg and Georgia Atkinson of Spencer, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Clair Parsons, Sr., she was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Parsons; one great-granddaughter, Nevaeh A. Noveren; three brothers; two infant brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, with Pastor Eddie Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
