Many late season opportunities are still around for the doe Hunter. Additional doe seasons are December 17-19 and again December 29-31. Also, youth hunters have December 26 and December 28th.

Hunters are allowed a total of three does in Calhoun County. Deer taken on youth day do not count toward the youth's annual deer season bag limit. Also, bow season is in for both does and buck deer.

Hunters need to be cognizant that some bucks have lost their antlers. This is possibly due to the low mast year and less nutrition. It is also typically around this time they start shedding antlers. Some will retains them much longer, but many won't.

Squirrel, grouse, raccoon, bobcat, and various other small game are still in season. Please get out and enjoy the end of 2015.
