JoAnn Jenkins, 81 - Stumptown

JoAnn Jenkins, 81, of Stumptown, WV passed away on December 7, 2015 at Charleston Area Medical Center-Memorial, Charleston, WV.

She was born December 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Ordie and Oleta Collins Lowther.

She is retired from the Kinney Shoe Factory in Glenville WV.

She enjoyed cooking, shopping, crafting latchhook rugs, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Nascar racing, and raising her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Survived by her husband of 50 years, Layne Jenkins of Stumptown; three brothers; Cecil Lowther of North Ridgeville, Ohio; Otis "Bud" Lowther of Grantsville WV; and Bobby Lowther of Hartville, Ohio; her children, Debra Johnson of Glenville WV, Bill Johnson (Judy) of Smithville WV, David Johnson (Shari) of Mt. Zion WV, Barry Jenkins of Martinsburg WV, Mark Jenkins (Debi) of Glenville; grandchildren, Amie, Andrea, Nicki, Tiffany, Whitney, Erica, Jeremy, Jeffrey, and Adam; and great-grandchildren Easton, Erica, Noah, Nicolis, Logan, Luke, Paityn, Parker, Taylor, Anthony, Dylan, and Tyler.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Meadows and Ruth Meadows; and one brother, Coye Lowther.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Stumptown, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in JoAnn's memory.
