WILSONBURG SHOOTING - Sheriff Albert Marano says deputies are currently looking at three different locations for a suspect in a Wednesday night shooting.

He says it's believed the shooting happened after some sort of trespassing incident and that the gunman used a rifle. There is a person of interest.

The victim was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. NITRO POLICE SHOOT MAN - A man is in the hospital after being shot multiple times by a Nitro police officer early Wednesday morning.

According to the Nitro Police Chief, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle about 1 a.m. near Easter Road. The car stopped but when the officer asked the driver to turn off the ignition, the police chief says the driver began driving aggressively at the officer.

The officer shot several times into the car, hitting the driver multiple times. The driver, Mickey Davis, 28, of South Charleston, has been taken to the ICU at CAMC General, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.

A woman was in the passenger seat. She has been taken into custody for questioning. The Kanawha Bureau of Investigation and Kanawha County Sheriff's Office are handling the case.

This is the second shooting involving a Nitro Police Officer in the past four months. The other one happened on August 1. The suspect died in that shooting.

PARKERSBURG SHOOTING - Police say it was a burglary gone bad, Monday night at a home on the south side of Parkersburg.

Officials say William and Celeena Dawson were just getting home when they say there were three individuals in their home and one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot William in his leg and took off.

Police say the alleged suspects got away with a TV and some cash.

Officials believe this is drug related and they do believe the suspects and the victims know each other.

"This was not a random act of violence at all. No way should the public be worried that a band of thugs out here that are creating havoc - that's not the case at all with this investigation. The parties involved are known to one another and we'll be able to put the pieces to this together fairly soon," says Chief Joe Martin, Parkersburg PD.

The victim who was shot is recovering and has non-life threatening injuries.

MAN STABBED WITH SCREWDRIVER - A domestic dispute ended Tuesday in Malden with a man being stabbed with a screwdriver.

According to Metro 911 dispatchers, the man arrived at the Malden Volunteer Fire Department with a stab wound, seeking treatment.

He told first responders he got into a fight with his wife but declined to give any suspect information.

The victim did not go to the hospital for treatment.

FORMER WVU PLAYER SHOT - Stedman Bailey, former WVU wide receiver and current St. Louis Rams player, was shot in the head and injured late Tuesday night in Florida. He is in critical condition.

The NFL say Bailey was shot while sitting in a car with three family members. Bailey's cousin was shot multiple times and has life-threatening injuries.

Bailey is currently serving a suspension for a violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy.

While at West Virginia University, Bailey set a host of school records as an All-American and was a Biletnikoff Award finalist in 2012.

He was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL draft.
