CALHOUN COURT SENTENCES KERBY SIX YEARS TO STATE PEN ON SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGES

Leon Kerby appeared on a Motion to Revoke his Extended Sex Offender Supervision before Calhoun Circuit Court, Judge David W. Nibert presiding.

Kerby admitted that he had violated his probation by being convicted of an new misdemeanor offense of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, according to Prosecutor Shannon Johnson.

Kerby was sentenced to six years in the state penitentiary.

James Blankenship appeared on charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy, both felonies.

Blankenship's attorney announced that he would enter a plea which has been set for December 14th.

Mary Parsons appeared for trial and entered a plea of guilty to Attempt to Commit Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Felony. She will be sentenced January 25, 2016.

William Vandal, Jr.'s trial for Grand Larceny and Conspiracy was continued to March 1, 2016.

Justin Knight appeared for sentencing with his hearing continued to March 17, 2016.

Josh Haymaker appeared for an annual review regarding his sentence of ten years probation, indicating he was doing well on probation.

Joshawa Whipkey appeared for a Status Hearing. His case was set for Pre-Trial Hearing on February 22, 2016 and for Jury Selection and Jury Trial on March 1, 2016.

Christopher Lamp appeared for Sentencing on his conviction of Unlawful Assault, a Felony. He was sentenced to two years supervised probation and was ordered to pay $2.50 supervision fee and a $2.50 community corrections fee per month.
