FIRE STRIKES PHILLIPS RUN HOUSE SUNDAY NIGHT - Report Electrical Short Cause Of Blaze

Grantsville firemen quickly extinguished a spreading fire in the wash room of a house on Phillips Run, just south of Grantsville, Sunday night. The Grantsville VFD responded at 9:22 p.m. to the former Lynette Headley residence on Woody Lane. Residents of the structure reportedly fled the dwelling, uninjured. Firemen said the fire started in the walls or ceiling, related to an electrical malfunction. It was the second structure fire call in two nights as temperatures fell into the 20s. Minnie Hamilton EMS also responded to the scene.
