FIRE DESTROYS LOG CABIN IN REMOTE LEADING CREEK AREA

Multiple fire departments responded to a structure fire Saturday night off Leading Creek Road, a short distance from Rt. 16. Fire departments from Grantsville, Smithville and Arnoldsburg answered the call at 8:30 p.m. in a rural area off Fluharty Road. The log cabin structure was a total loss, with a nearby camper reportedly receiving damage. Fire trucks had difficulty getting out of the rural road, trucks getting hung up. Minnie Hamilton EMS responded to the incident. No other information regarding the fire was available.
