FREEDOM FLAGS HONORING CALHOUN VETS ERECTED ON MAIN STREET

(11/20/2015)

The Calhoun County Historical Society's patriotic project titled Freedom Flags have been erected on Main Street in Grantsville.

The project is a reminder of the community's proud military history, specifically what families, having local connections, have contributed unselfishly to the nation's freedom and liberties.

The flags are made of oil cloth and have a laminate coating to prevent wear and fading.

Flags are still available at $70.00 each.

Applications for future veterans' banners are available from the Society by: mailing at P. O. Box 242, Grantsville, WV 26147, phone 304-354-7507, or stopping by the Museum on Fridays.
