Katherine L. Moore, 85 - Looneyville

Katherine L. Moore, 85, of Looneyville, West Virginia, died Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

She was born September 28, 1930 at Clio, a daughter of the late J.T. and Olive Crihfield Abbott.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Moore; granddaughter, Lisa Moore; sisters, Hattie McCune, Hester Ferrell, Delphia Sloan and Nellie Sloan; brothers, Holly and Harley Abbott.

Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Newton Baptist Church, Newton.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Betty Moore of Orma, Stephen and Freda Moore of Hurricane, and Wayne Moore of Looneyville; granddaughters, Jennifer Moore, Michelle Bowles and Rebecca Nutter; five great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Ronald Fisher and the Rev. Philip Linger officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
