WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Randolph Stand-Off With Gun Ends

(11/13/2015)
STAND-OFF - Justin M. Hoover, 25, of Huttonsville, was allegedly choking his girlfriend when a call was made to 911.

He was reportedly made aware authorities were responding to the scene and armed himself with a shotgun.

Upon arrival, deputies found Hoover in an altercation with another male subject who was attempting to disarm him.

It was then Hoover informed Deputies that the firearm was loaded and began saying "Shoot me, shoot me," according to the Randolph County Sheriff's Department.

Commands to surrender the firearm were refused. Deputies entered the struggle to disarm and were able to remove an assisting male from the altercation safely. During the struggle, Hoover remained non-compliant and had the hammer of the firearm pulled back and his finger on the trigger, swinging the firearm in the direction of law enforcement, police said.

Ultimately he was restrained, placed under arrest and charged with felony wanton endangerment involving a firearm.
