Mary Carol Nichols Carpenter, 78 - Parkersburg

MARY CAROL CARPENTER, 78, of Parkersburg, West Virginia formerly or Spencer, West Virginia died November 7, 2015 at the Camden-Clark memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born June 3, 1937 in Richardson, West Virginia a daughter of the late Robert R. "Bob" and Grace Spencer Nichols. She was a homemaker and liked going on trips and camping.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Danny Fike of Spencer, and Debbie and Aaron Dotson of Ripley, West Virginia; one sister, Betty McClung of Vienna, West Virginia; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ray "Junior" Carpenter; a sister, Dorothy Perrine; brothers, Ralph, Charles, Bob and Joe Nichols; and her second husband, Johnny "Jay" Johnston.

Service 1:00pm Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours are two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
