Arnoldsburg Elementary School hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast to say 'Thank You' to 13 volunteers on October 27th.

Various members of the staff donated breakfast items for the volunteers, and Principal Charles Thomas presented those in attendance with a gift bag as a way to show appreciation for all the hard work that is done around the school.

While volunteers assist at the school every day, they have have worked especially hard this school year getting books on shelves in the library system for the students to use.

During the breakfast, Calhoun County School Superintendent, Timothy Woodward thanked the volunteers and said, "Part of what makes Arnoldsburg a great school is the amount of dedicated volunteers that we have here all the time." He said, "there is no way for us as a school district, to hire or pay staff for the amount of hours that you donate week in and week out. Thank you."

If you would like to volunteer at Arnoldsburg Elementary School, there is a need for volunteers to help in the kitchen and around the school in a number of areas.

Volunteers need to come to the school and complete a Volunteer Application, be approved by the Principal and complete a short training. Once this is completed, your application will be submitted to the county school board office for approval by the Board of Education.
