Deana Diane Singleton, age 59 of Glenville, WV, departed this life in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 1, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.She was born October 11, 1956 in Hinton, WV, the daughter of the late David M. and Edna "Patty" Bennett Fox. Deana was a graduate of Gilmer County High School, Class of 1974. Before becoming ill, she worked as a manager at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant, and was a driver for Dr. Anwar's office in Moundsville, WV. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, fishing, and she loved to cook. Deana loved to spend time with family and friends, and she especially loved to care and spoil her grandchildren, any chance she could. Deana was also a Methodist by faith. On July 4, 1984, she was united in marriage to Jerry Singleton, who preceded her in death in November of 2004. Surviving are 4 children, Joanie Marie Wilfong and companion Richard Blackwell of St. Clairsville OH, Stephanie Darlene Smith and husband Tracy of Erie PA, Dustin Michael Singleton of Knoxville TN and Kasey Jade Hayhurst and wife Lisa of Shinnston WV; 7 grandchildren, Desirae Nikole Thomas, Julie Marie Wilfong, Joseph Florin Wilfong, Jacie Morgan Blackwell, Tracy "TJ" Smith, Trever Smith and Trealene Diane Smith; and 1 great grandchild, Brantley Wayne Cummings. There are also 8 siblings surviving, Jim Fox and wife Cathy of Scott Depot, WV; Debbie Leeson and husband Bub of West Union, WV; Mike Fox and wife Suzanne of Grantsville, WV; Darlene Smithson and husband Carl of Glenville, WV; Deniece Byrd and husband Bob of New London, NC; Rick Fox and wife Mary of Hinton, WV; Jon Fox and wife Brenda of Parkersburg, WV; and Kristi Sanders and husband Timmy of Denton, NC; and several nieces, nephews, and many other family members, who loved her dearly and pray she is at rest with God and the angels, and no more pain. Along with her parents and husband, Deana was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Michelle Lee Wilfong. Per her requests Deana's remains will be cremated, and her family will have a Memorial Service at a later date. Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Deana Diane Singleton with arrangements.
