James Neil Hicks, 75 - Mt. Zion

James Neil Hicks, 75, of Mt. Zion, West Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 28, 2015, at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, WV. He was born June 20, 1940, a son of the late Earl and Rosie Falls Hicks of Arnoldsburg. He loved to drive his antique truck on those old backroads and enjoyed car shows. He was quite a story teller that loved to share with anyone he met, but especially his family. His is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice Faye White Hicks and their son, Gary L. Hicks; grandchildren, Brandi Atkinson of Ripley, WV and McKenzie Hicks of Mt. Zion; step-grandson, Cody Cunningham of Beech and great-grandson, Gabe. Also surviving is his brother Dayton Hicks. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Virginia, Bevis, Leotta, and Mary; brothers Daris and one infant brother. Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 with Bill Richards officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Bailey Cemetery.
