BRAXTON MAN FACING MULTIPLE SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGES AGAINST 4-YEAR-OLD

State Police have arrested a Braxton County man and charged him with sexually abusing and assaulting a child. Mathew Allen Kestner, 24, of Sutton was arrested on several charges, including first degree sexual assault, sexual abuse by a guardian, and incest, according to a news release from West Virginia State Police. State Police told media they were able to develop Mr. Kestner, the victim's uncle, as a suspect. Police say Shingler gave a confession outlining that on 2 days in early October 2015, while acting in the capacity as a caregiver for the victim, Kestner, sexually assaulted the four year old family member, the acts committed on two separate days. A laptop revealed several child pornographic digital photographs. He was arraigned in Braxton County Magistrate Court then lodged in Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.
