| Barbara Jean Jones, age 65 of Gluck Run Road, Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life Monday evening, October 19, 2015 at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, West Virginia, following a brief illness. Born May 8, 1950 in Gilmer County, West Virginia, Barbara was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Joy Radcliff Osborn. Barbara was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1968. She worked most of her adult life for the West Virginia State Police as a receptionist in the Gilmer County barracks and retired in 2006 with 37 years experience. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed camping, shopping, gardening with a special interest in growing flowers, macrame, spoiling her grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends. On May 28, 1982 she was united in marriage to Robert Edward Jones, who was the love of her life and survives at their Gluck Run Road home. Barbara is survived by 1 daughter, Stephanie Hess and husband Tiny of Glenville, 2 step-sons, Gerald Jones and wife Carrie of Madison, Georgia, and Dale Jones and wife Tonie, of Jefferson, South Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Kathryn and Samantha Hess of Glenville; 3 step-grandchildren, Megan and Mandy Jones of Madison, Georgia, and Caleb Jones of Jefferson, South Carolina; and 1 brother, Kenneth Osborn Jr. of Linn, WV. Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by 1 sister-in-law, Mary Sue Osborn. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV, at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 with Chaplin Bryon Bukovesky officiating. Burial will follow in the Alice Cemetery on Alice Rd. near Glenville. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Mortuary. Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is honored to serve the family of Barbara Jean Jones with services.
