CLEVELAND OHIO COUPLE BUILD MAUSOLEUM ON NORMAN RIDGE

(10/30/2017)
UPDATE - James J. Schmeller, 81, of Akron, Ohio, was entombed in his mausoleum, October 17, 2016 on Norman Ridge.

A new private mausoleum has been built at the Norman Ridge Cemetery in 2015, one of few above ground burial memorials in the county.

The structure was designed by Jim Schmeller of Cleveland, Ohio for he and his wife Edna Yoak Schmeller and erected by well-known Calhoun craftsman Peter Cobbitt.

Edna Yoak Schmeller is a Calhoun native, daughter of Loyal B. and Monnie Fortney Yoak.

The mausoleum is in the cemetery of the original Norman Ridge Church, the Yoak family involved in the creation of the church.

Schmeller was the owner of Schmeller Aluminum Foundry of Cleveland.
