WOMAN STABS HUSBAND - Barboursville Police said a woman is facing several charges, accused of stabbing her husband while their young child was home.

Samantha P. Frye, 24, of Barboursville was charged with domestic battery, child neglect creating risk of injury and malicious or unlawful battery, according to criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Police said the suspect stabbed the victim in the upper arm and punched him several times. Police said the suspect told them she had smoked marijuana. Police said both were intoxicated.

Police said the couple's child was in the home at the time. Police said they discovered several loaded firearms and prescription pills in the home and unsecured.

Frye was taken to the Western Regional Jail and bond was set at $60,000.

CHARLESTON ROBBERY - Charleston police said a man is in custody following a robbery Monday outside of Charleston Area Medical Center Women and Children's Hospital.

Police said it happened about 1 p.m. The victim told police a man approached her and said he had a gun. The suspect took money and fled the scene, police said.

Police are still investigating and trying to determine if a gun was ever produced.
