Denzil M. Ball, 90 - formerly of Grantsville

Denzil M. Ball, 90, formerly of Grantsville, WV, passed away peacefully at Parkersburg Care Center, Parkersburg, WV on Friday, October 16, 2015. He was born on February 28, 1925, a son of the late Jasper and Olive Johnson Ball. He was a WWII veteran, "B" Battery 564th F.A.B. He worked at TRW in Cleveland, retiring in 1983 then moved back to West Virginia to live. Denzil was an avid hunter and loved to fish in his spare time. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elmo Ball; and brothers, Donald and Albert Ball. He is survived by second wife, Ada L. Ball; sons, Denzil Keith Ball and James Edward Ball; daughter, Charlene Lilly; step-children, Dale Douglas Currey, Lyle (Marilyn) Currey, and Anne (Frank) Abbadessa; as well as nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Williamson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
