Mary Rose Hanssen, 70 - Gandeeville

Mary Rose Hanssen, 70, of Gandeeville, West Virginia passed away on October 14, 2015 at home. She was born April 13, 1945 in Countsville, WV, a daughter of the late James Leo and Othella Kee Fields. She was in housekeeping at Roane General Hospital and a homemaker. She also attended Harmony Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Arthur Hanssen, a daughter Tonia (Anthony) Powers of Somerset, Ohio; one son, Arthur Hanssen III of Gandeeville; one sister, Dorothy Groves of Ravenswood, West Virginia; and a granddog, Roxie. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia with the Rev. Daniel McClung officiating. Burial will follow in the Gandee Cemetery near Harmony, West Virginia. Visitation is on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
