Grantsville and Arnoldsburg Firemen battle blaze

A fire which reportedly started around a heater destroyed two mobile homes on Sinking Springs Road at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Homeless are Linda Sampson, who lived in the residence where the fire started, and Geraldine Little and her two sons, who lived in an adjacent residence. The structures were separated by a few feet.

Both were declared total losses.

Some of the occupants were present when the fire started, and all escaped without injury from the rapidly spreading flames.

Fire quickly spreads to mobile home owned by Little

Grantsville and Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Departments responded quickly, and were able to hook to a fire hydrant along Route 16.

Calhoun EMS also went to the scene.
