Elizabeth "Liz" Moore, 72 - Glenville

Elizabeth "Liz" Moore, 72, of Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 5:30 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born December 26, 1942, in Elyria, OH. Liz was the daughter of the late Harold G. and Avis Cox Kennedy.

Liz was a graduate of Midview High School in Grafton, OH; she was the owner and operator of Glenville Dry Cleaners. She enjoyed reading the Bible, where she had just completed reading for the 39th time, sewing, watching her grandchildren play ball, country music and especially gospel music. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenville.

On August 31, 1962, she was united in marriage to Jackie Moore whom she met in Ohio in 1961 on a blind date who survives at their Glenville home.

Surviving: one son, Timothy Moore (Elaine) of Grantsville, WV; two grandsons, the joys of her life, Zachary Timothy Moore, Camp Pendleton, CA and Luke Isaac Moore (Brittany) of Racine, WV; one step-granddaughter, Gracie Vincent of Grantsville, WV; one brother, John Kennedy of Virginia and four sisters: Carolyn Whytsel of Grafton, OH; Patricia Stump of Sarasota, FL; Connie Adams of Good Hope, WV and Norma Smith of Normantown, WV.

Along with her parents Liz was preceded in death by four brothers, Butch, Ronald, Sug and Marvin Kennedy and her in-laws, Bill and Erma Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Glenville First Baptist Church, Glenville, WV at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2015 with Rev. Ronzel Roberts and Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rhoades Cemetery, on Kelly Run Road, Glenville. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Church.
