"BRAS ACROSS THE BRIDGE" - Breast Cancer Awareness Event Saturday

West Virginians celebrated their first West Virginia Breast Cancer Awareness Day in 1995, a day that has come to encompass what Breast Cancer Awareness Month is all about. That tradition continues Saturday, October 24, sponsored by Sunny Cal Gals (local chapter of the Red Hat Society) Calhoun Family Resource Network, and Minnie Hamilton Health System, with "Bras Across The Bridge," Grantsville's Bernard Pious Bell Bridge. There will be educational information and donations to be collected at the old Smith Service Station at the end of the bridge. All proceeds will go the WV Breast and Cervical Cancer Diagnostic and Treatment Fund, which provides testing and treatment for uninsured WV women.
