WV ELECTRIC UTILITIES WANT HIGHER CHARGES AGAINST SOLAR CUSTOMERS

American Electric Power and First Energy, the state's largest electric utilities, find themselves at odds with the solar industry, citizen groups, consumer Advocates Division and Public Service Commission staff members over proposed rules that could impact the future of residential solar and wind power in West Virginia.

They are proposing higher charges against solar energy customers.
