HERALD REACHES GOAL TO CONTINUE - Thanks For Your Support

(10/08/2015)
The stalwart supporters of the Hur Herald have come to our financial aid with enough money to continue the publication for now.

We are grateful for those who have contributed, and express our deepest thanks.

It was a rough year for the Herald, including hacking of every story in the archives. For the most part, we were able to restore them.

The Herald started without any business plan, a labor of love, with a large readership. And so it has been.

The Herald is facing the same challenges as all Internet publications, including daily newspapers, that people access to get content free, and there's plenty of free content on the Internet.

The Herald, long ago, rejected pay-to-read subscriptions.

We do have a primary goal to capture and preserve the thousands of stories and photos in the archives and deposit them in the state archives and regional libraries.

Again, thanks.
