Annettia Pearl Hughes, 70 - Spencer

Annettia Pearl Hughes, 70, of Spencer, West Virginia died October 4, 2015 at home. She was born April 23, 1945 in Clay County, West Virginia a daughter of the late William and Maggie Rae Runnion Mullins. She formerly worked at the Spencer State Hospital and the White Oak Restaurant and enjoyed puzzle books and taking walks and attended the St. Johns United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Norma Jean Gordon of Texas, and Kathryn Runnion and Billie Jo Chandler, both of Spencer; a step-daughter, Cindy Moats of Spencer; a son, Steven Ray Hughes of Beckley, West Virginia; a sister, Georgia Godfrey of Walton, West Virginia; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Effie Marie and Nora; and a brother, William "Buck". A visitation and viewing will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer. Per her request the body will be cremated.
