JAMES TRIAL FOR ATTEMPTED MUD FORK MURDER SET FOR OCTOBER - Four Other Cases Heard

Calhoun Circuit Court was in session Monday with Senior Status Judge John Henning sitting in for Judge Thomas Evans III.

Prosecutor Shannon Johnson said Adam James appeared for a pre-trial hearing related to a charge of Attempted Murder, charged with shooting a Mud Fork man.

After the court heard testimony regarding an audio recorded statement given by Mr. James, the court found that the statement was admissible at trial.

James is set for trial on October 6th.

Ryan Abramovich appeared and answered an indictment against him for Malicious Assault and Conspiracy, both felonies, according to Prosecutor Johnson.

The court restored his bond as posted in Magistrate Court and set his case for arraignment on October 8th, 2015.

Andrew Tanner appeared for sentencing related to a larceny case. His case was continued and will appear for sentencing on October 8th.

Justin Hannah appeared for a pre-trial hearing after he had been arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear at his last hearing.

The Court reinstated his bond and noted that his trial will be held October 6th on charges of forgery and uttering.

Gary Ferrell appeared for a pre-trial hearing. There being no issues to take up, the court noted that his case will come on for trial on October 6th on his charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and illegal possession of a firearm.

Three juvenile hearings on the docket.

The next Court date is October 1st with Judge Nibert.
