Evelyn Kelley Ferrell, 99 - Davisville

Evelyn Kelley Ferrell, 99, of Davisville, WV passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.

She was born in Calhoun County on November 13, 1915, a daughter of the late Lester M. and Ethel Riggs.

She was employed by Calhoun Board of Education as a cook for 35 years. She cooked for the Calhoun football team for a couple of years. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Charleston, WV. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to cook. She was always baking pies and cakes for everyone.

She is survived by her children, John M. Kelley and JoAnne Molessa; grandchildren, Christopher Todd (Heather) Molessa; Andrea Eve Kinzer; and Ryan Wilmoth; great-grandchildren Hannah Elyse Kinzer; Bentley M. Kinzer, Leewood C. Molessa; Maxwell K. Molessa; Isaiah W. Wilmoth; and Braden J. Wilmoth; sisters Willodene (Duane) Poling and Maxine (Ron) Duskey.

In addition to her husbands, Orval L. Kelley and Glenn Ferrell, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Geraldine, Irene, Elodene, and Emogene; brother, Merlyn Riggs; son-in-law, Andy Molessa.

Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 with Rev. Joe Lancaster officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service, 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in memory of Evelyn to: First Baptist Church Food Pantry, P.O. Box 237 Grantsville, WV 26147.
