INWOOD BANK ROBBERY — The investigation into a bank robbery at the Bank First United Bank and Trust in Inwood continues.

Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department are searching for a suspect who entered the bank and pointed a gun at one of the tellers, then left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the suspect shot the door multiple times in an attempt to escape the scene.

"He almost got t-boned when he pulled out of the bank," said Berkeley County Sheriff Kenny Lemaster.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 50's weighing between 170 and 175 pounds and standing between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 8 inches tall.

Lemaster says the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

FAIRMONT BANK ROBBERY - The Fairmont Police Department is searching for a man who robbed the BC Bank in Fairmont Thursday.

The suspect is approximately 6' and white with dark brown hair, no front teeth and no facial hair. He was wearing khaki pants, a light blue shirt and a tan baseball cap.

The man was likely armed.

"Our staff is okay, and we are completely cooperating with authorities," said the BC Bank President & CEO.
