Joan Marie Nelson, 68 - Newark WV

Joan Marie Nelson, 68, of Newark WV, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015, from a sudden illness at Camden Clark Memorial Campus. She was surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on Jan. 29, 1947 at Two Runs, the daughter of the late Ernie Lee and Mabel Pauline Waggoner. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Doebereiner (Dennis) of Mineral Wells WV; son, Ronald Nelson (Nicole) of Cumming GA; four grandchildren, Brittany Hopkins, Amber Doebereiner, Blaza and Joda Nelson; two great grandsons, Cole and Chase; two nieces, Debbie Fern (Gerald), Teresa Wolden (Tony); two great nephews and great nieces Brandon Fern (Hope), David and Leah Wolden; and a great-great niece, Madison all of Barberton and Hartford Ohio. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her only sister and brother-in-law, Madeline and Melvin Bostic. Services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday September 17 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV, with the Rev. Dwight Brohard officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of service on Thursday.
