"HALF BREED" GAS PUMPER ENGINE RESCUED FROM WOODS

A PA "Half-Breed" Gas Pumping Engine The historic old engine rests along Russett Road, described by its owner Danny Bragg, as a "Pennsylvania Half-Breed Pumper." Bragg said the old engine was used at a well site back on a hill behind his residence, the Leonard Fowler place. "It weighs tons," he said. Bragg, a retired deep coal miner from Logan County, said the engine ran on steam or natural gas. He says he has hopes of restoring the engine and making it operable.
