The 3" branch that embedded Jarvis' leg

A Camp Run Road man that received serious injury in an UTV vs. large branch on September 4, is recovering at home.

Rodney Jarvis, 33, told the Herald he was riding his Polaris when the front tire kicked up a tree limb 10' long and about 3" in diameter.

The limb went completely through the dash and almost completely through his leg, Jarvis said.

Jarvis was taken to a Charleston hospital and had surgery for the major trauma.

He was in the hospital from Friday until Tuesday.
