Deena Maxine "Toots" McCune Stump, 86 - Spencer

Deena Maxine "Toots" McCune Stump, of Spencer, WV went home to be the Lord on September 3, 2015 after an extended illness.

She was the daughter of Thomas and Minnie McCumbers McCune. She was born on May 13, 1929 in Dessie, WV in Braxton County.

She was a former member of Frozen Chapel Baptist Church and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church Mount Zion, WV. She had attended Faith Baptist Church in Spencer when her health allowed. She had worked as a waitress at Carpers Restaurant in Spencer, but was mostly a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harlan Stump; her parents; brothers, Albert, Raymond, and Holly McCune; sisters, Roxie Tenney, Bertha Cottrell, Lakie Wilson, Stella Nichols, and Jessie Helmick.

She is survived by her niece whom she raised, Wanda Schreffler of Cambridge, Ohio; four children, Eugene Stump, William Stump, Judi Godfrey, Robin Lynn Stump all of Spencer, WV; three grandchildren, Clint, Cassie, and Christopher Stump all of Spencer as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6 with Elder Michael Richardson and Rev. Darrin Cale officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Clayton Stump Cemetery in Russet, WV.
