Records held in the Calhoun County Clerk's office are now available on line, according to County Clerk Jean Simers.

More than 80,000 documents have already been scanned by the clerk's staff, and more will follow.

"The staff has worked diligently on a monumental task, indexing and scanning the documents," said Simers, making them available to the public on-line.

The documents include everything from birth, death and marriage certificates to deeds, oil and gas leases, wills and much more.

If you want to print the documents, you need to set up an account with a debit or credit card. There are some documents that are restricted and unavailable to view by the general public.

"We are adding new documents everyday, to the site," said Simers.

The clerk's record room is still open to the public.

The site is currently down to survey for corrections.
