Genevieve Nutter Powell, 91 - Belpre, OH

Genevieve Nutter Powell, 91, of Belpre, OH, formerly of Rocksdale, Calhoun County, passed away August 24, in Marietta, Ohio, at Marietta Care and Rehab. She was born Oct. 13, 1923, in Rockdale, a daughter of the late Commodore B. Nutter and Leota Kerby Nutter. Genevieve was retired from Galberth Management Company, in Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of the Belpre Church of The Nazarene and was active with the Belpre Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her son, Robert Vaughn; her niece, Dianna Wallace of Marietta; a nephew, Denny Nutter of Tuppers Plains, Ohio and two grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoy Powell; one son, Ronald Vaughn; a grandson; her brother, Deo Nutter; and a niece, Linda Sands. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, OH. Interment will follow at Winner-Ball Cemetery in Calhoun Count. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the Funeral Home.
