GIBSON RD. MOBILE HOME BURNS TO GROUND - Occupant Arrested Last Week Following Threats To Kill

(08/25/2015)

Mobile home burns near Rosalie King residence on Gibson Rd.

A mobile home that had been occupied by Travis Sampson, 28, on Gibson Road, a short distance in Clay County off Walker Road, burned to the ground Monday.

Sampson was charged last week with possession of a deadly weapon, cultivation of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance and is incarcerated in Central Regional Jail.

The Upper West Fork and Big Otter VFDs responded to the blaze at 12:17 p.m. discovering the mobile home was burned to the ground on arrival.

Sampson was in a dispute last week with residents in an adjacent house, threatening to kill them.

Multiple State Police units responded to the incident.
