ANNAMORIAH TRUCK WRECK SENDS WOMAN TO TRAUMA CENTER

A truck driver lost control of his vehicle on State Rt. 5 at Annamoriah about 5 p.m. Saturday evening, a passenger was life-flighted by chopper to a medical center suffered trauma.

The man was driving east on Rt. 5 when he lost control, the vehicle appeared to hit a dirt pile, then going airborne and then traveling about 200 feet through the yard of Barry Miller, striking a utility pole and clipping it off.

The driver was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System for evaluation.

Electric service was disrupted in area. Two Minnie Hamilton EMS ambulances responded to the scene with the Grantsville VFD.

State Police investigated the accident.
