GILMER FCI INMATE SENTENCED ON HEROIN CHARGE

Parker Breckenridge, 39, an inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution at Gilmer, was convicted and sentenced Wednesday for unlawful possession of heroin inside the prison, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced. Breckenridge was discovered in December 2014 in unlawful possession of heroin while incarcerated at FCI Gilmer. He was sentenced Thursday to an additional two months in prison. Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services Unit at FCI Gilmer led the inquiry. U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley presided.
