Thelma Virginia Brady, age 85, of Lower Cedar Creek Road, Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life Thursday morning, August 13, 2015 at her residence, following a short illness.
Born April 14, 1930, in Gilmer County, Thelma was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lennita Dennison Miller.
Thelma was a Quality Inspector for Kenny Shoe Factory in Glenville and in her younger years she work for BF Goodrich in Grantsville. Thelma enjoyed working in her flower garden, and playing the card game Setback at the Gilmer County Senior Center, where she won several tournaments. Thelma's greatest love was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren every chance she got.
On May 17, 1952 she was united in marriage to Blaine Brady, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1997.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Deborah "Debbie" Dobbins and husband Dave and Ann Bee and husband Terry, both of Lower Cedar Creek Road; 1 sister, Edna Roberts of Glenville; 5 grandchildren, T. J. Bee of Texas, Kevin Bee and wife Elizabeth of Bolt, West Virginia, Robbie Bee and wife Debra of Glenville, Scott Dobbins and wife Christina of Cedarville, West Virginia, and Denae Dobbins of Glenville; 6 great-grandchildren, Abigail and Danielle Bee, and Triston, Adalyn, Ava, and Blair Dobbins.
Along with her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her brother, Herbert "Bud" Miller; and first husband Floyd Ralph Turner who departed this life on July 20, 1950.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery on WV Hwy 5 West of Glenville (Holts Run). Family and friends will be received from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the mortuary.
