CLAY HOME COULD BE OBJECT OF ARSON

(08/15/2015)
A Clay County homeowner is devastated after a suspicious fire destroyed his home.

The fire broke out about 6:30 a.m. Thursday along Mountain View Road.

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office is calling the fire suspicious and is investigating.

Andy Nease, the homeowner, is offering a reward for anyone with information leading up to the arrest of person/persons responsible for the blaze.

"We're offering a $5,000 reward for an arrest and conviction, along with the fund from the state insurance group, that could be up to $10,000," Nease said.

Nease said his next door neighbor called and alerted him about the blaze.

"He told me that there were things piled up out in front of the door that looked like somebody was in the process of robbing it," Nease said.
