JAMES APPEARING MONDAY IN CALHOUN COURT FOR PRE-TRIAL IN ATTEMPTED MURDER CASE - Court Has Busy Docket

Calhoun Circuit Court is in session Monday in Grantsville with Judge Thomas Evans III presiding. Court opens at 9:30 a.m.

Adam C. James, 30, of Sutton, is appearing for a pre-trial hearing for attempted murder.

James is charged for allegedly shooting Robert "Rob" King, about 40, of Coen Drive, Stinson Road in 2014. James was reportedly with another male when the shooting happened in the parking lot of the Mud Fork Church. He and another man reportedly got into an argument with King, allegedly shooting King with a handgun in the head.

Douglas Cecil Lynch, Creston, is set for sentencing related to marijuana manufacturing. Justin Hannah, who was indicted on eight counts of forgery and uttering, all felonies, and two counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor, is scheduled to answer the indictment. A bench warrant had been issued for his arrested for failure to appear.

Gary Johnson will appear for a scheduling hearing regarding his felony charge of manufacturing marijuana.

Danny Lockhart will appear for a status and scheduling hearing related to the manufacture of marijuana and sexual assault.

Gary Ferrell's trial on charges of delivery of a controlled substance was continued for a scheduling Monday.

Matthew Jeffrey is set to present a plea agreement from the state on multiple changes.

A hearing is scheduled for Joseph Kute to reduce bond, charged with malicious assault and battery.

There are 17 juvenile cases on the docket.
