LAMP SCHEDULED FOR SENTENCING IN CALHOUN CIRCUIT COURT - Matheney Will Go On Trial

Christopher Lamp, 22, is scheduled for sentencing Tuesday in Calhoun Circuit Court. According to court records, Lamp had entered a plea of guilty to unlawful assault, a felony. Lamp had been indicted on two counts of sexual assault in the third degree; two counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or custodian; and two counts of sexual abuse in the third degree, all felonies in 2013. Corey Lee Metheney, 35, had been indicted on two counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or custodian; two counts of sexual assault in the first degree and two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree. It is alleged that Metheney sexually abused two children during November of 2012, the case was investigated by Trooper D.C. Moore of the West Virginia State Police. Court opens at 10 a.m. with Judge David W. Nibert presiding.
